Eric Bonnin Ceramics are handmade in New York City using traditional techniques including wheel-turning and hand-building to produce functional and decorative pieces. //

Eric Bonnin has been working with clay ever since moving to New York City from Paris in 1994. Ceramics seemed like the perfect challenge and creative outlet after having studied the decorative arts and worked in the contemporary furniture world in Paris. When creating his pieces Eric’s aim is to combine functionality with simple decorative elements and motifs. He is inspired by the French Decorative Arts Movement and the artists and craftsmen working in Vallauris, France in the post-war period.

Eric Bonnin is a Parisian ceramicist living in Brooklyn, New York. When creating his pieces he aims to combine functionality with simple decorative elements and motifs, a nod to his previous studies of decorative arts and work with contemporary furniture. Eric's bird vases were inspired by Picasso's collaboration with Madoura in Vallauris, France in the 1950s. Each handmade item is signed with Eric’s maker’s mark and the city of origin.
